Our organizational values shape and guide how we do what we do. They can be seen in the way we actually treat and care for people and how they translate into day-to-day organizational decisions and behavior. We use our values strategically to inform and guide every choice and action. Specifically:
- Honoring God -
We seek to honor God by
- Cooperating with Him – being committed and earnestly seeking to be faithful to God and cooperate with Him in what He is doing. He builds His Kingdom according to His purposes and we continually seek to understand where He is leading and join Him as He enables.
- Caring for people – striving to reach people through an honest interest in their well being – helping them to reawaken their dream for the future.
- Communicating His love – using every opportunity to demonstrate God’s love for people by our words and actions.
- Creating Community – Bringing individuals together relationally to form community which in turn reaches out to others with the love they have found in community.
- Leadership –
The unleashing of the full potential within our communities is dependent on leadership. We seek to be a catalyst for change within the community and to help other people and organizations reach their full leadership potential.
- Partnerships/Cooperation –
Each community-minded organization has a unique role. Together we can collectively accomplish more than the sum of our individual parts. We will continually seek to partner with other organizations in a true spirit of cooperation.
- Risk Taking/Innovation –
Stepping out of our comfort zones to do immeasurably more than we can imagine, not because of our power or talent or strength, but because Jesus calls us to servant leadership and to fully trust Him for our provision.
- Volunteer Participation –
The secret to fully unleashing the potential of our communities is to establish a culture where people routinely use their gifts in serving one another, not because they have to but because it’s the right thing to do. The best care comes from peers not programs.
- Faithful with Little, Faithful with Much –
As we give our best and are fruitful in the small things, God will bless us with more responsibility. We will expand at God’s speed and will always view our resources as His resources entrusted to our care.
- Eternal Motivation -
Our ministry desires but is not dependent on the hope that our efforts will result in others becoming believers. The ministry is worthwhile in itself – a faithful, hopeful, and loving ministry aligned with the Kingdom of God and His ultimate purposes. The goal of our ministry is rooted not in time, but in eternity.
- Teams –
More can be accomplished through people working together in teams. Teams provide a structure for more rapid and healthy multiplication and for individuals to use their unique gifts in service.
- Excellence –
Excellence honors God and attracts people.
